Behavioral and Educational Services
BCRC is certified to provide a range of services to public school pupils. BCRC specializes in Behavior Analysis and Managment services which have been provided for twenty five years.
Direct Services
Behavior Assessments: including functional analyses, fulfilling Hughes and IDEA mandates. The outcome is a document pinpointing the conditions and functions of behaviors of concern.
Behavior Intervention/Support Plans: Comprehensive positive strategies to prevent challenging behaviors and to teach functional alternatives. BCRC specializes in inclusion strategies including curricular modifications and skill training.
Implementation: Provision of trained implementers, Behavioral Assistants (BAs), to work directly with children or adults in inclusive or special settings. Supported by BCRC Clinical Supervisors. Assistants implement behavior plans, model techniques for others and provide specific training in social skills, language strategies, self-help areas, etc.
Specific Skill Training: Innovative instruction for those who under-behave; social skills, language strategies, and toilet training.
Behavior Support: Ongoing monitoring of a Behavior Support Plan with the Behavior Analyst providing adjustment of the plan and formulation of new interventions.
Consultation
Consultation is provided in all aspects of Applied Behavior Analysis to regular and special education teachers, DIS personnel, mental health professionals, administrators, and residential and vocational staff.
BCRC specializes in inclusion strategies including curricular modifications and skills training that complement behavior management plans.
BCRC guides organizations in establishing their own Behavior Analysis and Management systems.
Early Intervention
BCRC has a unit providing services to young children with Autism Spectrum and other disorders. Interventions are individualized and prescriptive, based on assessment, and intended to promote skill acquisition. These services adhere to Applied Behavior Analysis principles and practices.
Collaboration
All BCRC services, whether direct or consultative, are provided with the belief that collaboration with IEP teams, family members, residential teams, etc. is a critical component of success.
